The Children's Ministry of Plainview Baptist Church is dedicated to leading children in the way they should go so that they will come to know, love and follow Jesus. We understand the needs you and your children share. sTogether, we can help your child come to know Jesus Christ personally and live life that will honor Him.

What is Awana?

Awana is an international, Bible-centered children’s and youth ministry providing churches with weekly clubs, programs and training for students in preschool through high school. Their goal is to equip churches to reach children and teenagers, and their families, with the gospel of Christ and train them to serve Him. The acronym AWANA comes from the first letters of Workmen Are Not Ashamed as taken from 2 Timothy 2:15. Awana began in 1950 at the North Side Gospel Center with its creator, Art Rorheim. There are now over 11,000 U.S. churches that run Awana, and 3300 in 109 other countries.

*Puggles - is a two year program for two & three year olds.

*Cubbies - is a two year zoo theme for Preschoolers.

*Sparkes - is a three year program for kind. – 2nd grade.

*T&T “Truth & Training” - is 3rd – 6th grade.

TREK is the program for 7th – 8th grade.

24/7 – is for 9th – 12th grade

Handbook Time – Kids work one on one with Bible verse listeners

Council Time – Singing, awards, Bible message.
